First and foremost, the health and safety of our youth players are our #1 priority. I have received a few questions concerning the COVID-19, (Coronavirus) relating to cancellations of league play and scheduled league events. Local league play and team practices have not been restricted, however, should any of the local school districts implement restrictions or closures, we will follow suit and postpone/cancel league play/practices as necessary. Further, we encourage any teams that are planning to travel to have discussions with players and parents, with no repercussion for families/players that choose not to travel.
We have been advised to take precautions, i.e. no hand shaking, high fives, etc. Encourage those at high risk to take precautions and those that are sick to please stay home. Most of all basic hygiene should be encouraged with our youth.
Please keep in mind that we don't start practices until the end of this month, games the end of April. Practices and Games can be moved forward. In the event this continues on past a time where it is to late to start our season and the CDC, WHO, City & State Governments advise we cancel the season we will refund player fees.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will provide updates or changes as needed.
